What is kurotana.gg?
A premium platform for anime figure and manga collectors to track, discover, and share their collections. Browse a curated catalog, manage your shelf, view collection statistics, and share your showcase with the community.
Is kurotana free?
Yes! The Free tier includes unlimited figure and manga tracking. Premium features like price tracking and advanced analytics are available in paid tiers. See the Pricing page for details.
What does "kurotana" mean?
"Kuro" (黒) means black and "tana" (棚) means shelf in Japanese — a black shelf for your collection.
Collection
How do I add figures to my collection?
Browse the Discover page and click the "+" on any figure card, or visit a figure detail page and click "Add to Collection". You can set the status to Owned, Wishlist, Ordered, or Sold.
Can I import from MyFigureCollection?
Yes! Go to your Collection page and click "Import". Upload your MFC CSV export file and we will match your items to our catalog.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Export as CSV or JSON from the Collection page. Your data is always yours — we believe in full data portability.
Features
What is Koubou?
Koubou (工房, workshop) is our Feature Lab where you can opt into experimental features before they go live. Available in Settings under the Koubou tab.
What are achievements?
Milestones you unlock by building your collection — like adding your first figure, reaching 10 items, or completing a series. View them on your Profile page.
How does the dark/light theme work?
Use the toggle in the navigation bar to switch between Kuro (dark) and Washi (light) themes, or set to System to match your OS preference. Your choice is saved automatically.
Beta & Pricing
What does "beta" mean?
kurotana is currently in public beta. All features are live and usable, but we are actively improving based on feedback. Expect frequent updates and occasional rough edges.
What is the Founder Edition?
A $99 lifetime Pro tier limited to 100 seats during beta. Founders get permanent access to all Pro features, a unique profile badge, and priority support. Join the waitlist on the Pricing page.
When will paid features launch?
We are building toward enabling Stripe payments. Join the founder waitlist to be notified as soon as subscriptions go live.
Privacy & Data
Where is my data stored?
Currently in your browser's local storage. When we launch accounts, your data will sync to our secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you track me?
We use Umami for anonymous, cookie-free analytics and Microsoft Clarity for session replay to improve UX. No data is sold to third parties. We respect Do Not Track headers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
